The daily storage conditions of a battery pack directly affect its long-term reliability and safety. Choosing a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight is crucial. The ideal storage temperature is between 10°C and 25°C. Avoid placing it near high-temperature sources or in areas prone to freezing. Humidity should be controlled between 45% and 75% relative humidity to prevent oxidation of metal contacts or short circuits. If planned for long-term inactivity (more than one month), it is recommended to maintain the charge at around 40% to 60%, as a fully charged state accelerates chemical aging, while a low charge may lead to over-discharge damage. It is best to check the remaining charge every three months and perform appropriate top-up to maintain the above range.
Keep the battery pack away from metal objects to prevent accidental contact between the positive and negative terminals that could cause a short circuit. Use the original manufacturer's insulating cap or non-conductive material to wrap it. Also, avoid heavy objects pressing on it or sharp objects puncturing the casing to maintain structural integrity. For battery packs with special chemical systems, refer to the specific instructions in the product manual. Proper storage can significantly slow down performance degradation.
